Velvet

A dark pile of velvet. Draw your fingers across it and the nap catches the light where you brush — the sheen stays until you smooth it back.

Stroke slowly and the sound settles into a soft, warm brush. Move fast and it turns bright and restless. A quick tap knocks softly; a still, resting press swells a low hum beneath your fingertip.

Nothing is measured, nothing is scored. It is a surface for your hands to settle into — a small place to notice your own pace.

A self-regulation and interoceptive-awareness experience. Not a medical device: it does not diagnose, treat, or cure.

If “listen” shows the mic as active but the velvet never responds to sound, your Mac's input device is probably set to a virtual/loopback device (e.g. BlackHole) instead of the built-in microphone. Fix: System Settings → Sound → Input → select your Mac's microphone.
